Without a doubt one of the most beautiful homes in Puerto Vallarta, Villa Escondida is the first of four homes in a small complex, each beautifully done and very private. Built in 1990 in the Colonial style, the villa is filled with antiques and contemporary art objects. All of the rooms are light and airy and open to the ocean. The interior is over 4,500 square feet with an additional 2,000 square feet of verandas and patios. The kitchen has a 26 foot high domed brick ceiling and every modern convenience. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed and a private bath. The master bedroom is on the main level and the other two bedrooms are located on the lower level and are open to a patio and heated pool that overlook the ocean. The staff is one of the best in Vallarata--this is a service-oriented household. This home comes staffed with a houseman, maid, gardener, and a cook who will prepare two meals a day, either breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner. Grocery costs generally run to $150 per person, per week, depending on your tastes; your cook will do all your shopping.
