This charming Tuscan barn has just been completely renovated by
the owner, who lives in the adjacent historical villa. Dating from 1751,
this once-rustic building has been transformed into two elegant, spacious,
sun-filled apartments. Il Timo occupies the ground floor of the home and
is the smaller of the two apartments. The apartment revolves around a
large living/ dining/ kitchen area with high vaulted ceilings. The double
front doors can be left open to take advantage of the Tuscan light and view
of the countryside. There are dining tables for twelve--one can be moved
outdoors for al-fresco dining. One sofa folds out into a sofabed, only
to be used with owner permission. All appliances are new and modern and
there is a TV and washing machine. Each of the two bedrooms are furnished
with antique single beds that can be brought together as double beds.
Ceilings are vaulted and antique chests of drawers and wardrobes lend
an old world charm to the rooms. The full bathroom has a shower, but
no tub. The property's grounds are covered by family olive groves and
vineyards and a new, large in-ground pool has just been added. Guests have access to an outdoor bar-b-que and garden furniture.
Rates include a welcome dinner (prepared in avance for you to warm upon your
arrival), weekly cleaning of the house, a final cleaning, bed and bath linens,
and gas and electricity. A cell phone is provided, with a recargeable meter
card, and heating must be paid by the meter, if used.
