This charming Tuscan barn has just been completely renovated by the
owner, who lives in the adjacent historic villa. Dating from 1751, this
once-rustic building has been transformed into two elegant, spacious, sun
filled apartments. Il Pesco is the larger of the two living spaces and
takes up the entire second floor of the home. It is unexpectedly large,
developing through passages and different levels. There is a spacious
living room with two sofabeds (only to be used with owner permission)
and a television. The dining room is also large and cheerful. There is
a fully-equipped eat-in kitchen with a family-sized refrigerator. Four
twin bedrooms are full of antiques and all are convertible to double
bedrooms. The three full baths all have shower facilities, no tubs.
Oil paintings, antiques, and bright colors accent the home and light
floods in from all sides. The ceilings in this apartment are exposed
beam- beautiful, but not as high as those in the apartment below.
The property's grounds are covered by family olive groves and
vineyards and a new, large in-ground pool has just been added. Guests have access to an outdoor bar-b-que, pizza oven, and garden
furniture. The views from the front lawn are breathtaking. Rates
include a welcome dinner (prepared in advance for you to warm upon
your arrival), weekly cleaning of the house, a final cleaning, linens,
and gas & electricity. A cell phone with rechargeable rate card is
provided and heating usage will be billed by the meter if used.
