Our homes come from several sources. We often find a highly recommended agency, preview their homes, and then select the ones that we think are the best. Homes are also referred to us by friends, family and previous clients. We have personally inspected each property in the inventory, staying in them whenever possible. Instead of only dealing with homes in one specific destination like most companies, our inventory consists of the best properties we have been able to find in many destinations. You can stay in a villa in Mexico this winter, then try another carefully selected house in Italy next fall! Staying in a home gives you the opportunity to feel like a native, instead of a tourist, when you travel.

You could select a vacation home from brochures or from an anonymous web site or you could rely on the referral of someone you trust. Everyone who currently has access to our company has found us through a friend, business associate or family member. We know that as we continue to provide consistent, quality service, our company will grow and clients will pass along our name with their highest recommendation.

Bradley and I share a love of travel and fine homes. We have traveled extensively throughout Europe, Mexico and the United States searching for just the right properties. Sometimes our homes will be large and opulent, sometimes small and quaint, but we know that you will always find yourself in a home away from home.

Sally Bechtol

My background is in the arts and in home remodeling. I have a degree in Art History from the University of Texas and have worked in many areas of the fine arts. For several years, I had a home remodeling/ construction company. Combining these interests with my passion for travel, a vacation home rental company was a natural step.

I became a founding partner of Hemingway Vacation Homes, Ltd. which was based in San Antonio, Texas and was marketed through the Sotheby's International Real Estate network. We were in business for three years and I learned a great deal about the travel industry. When I started Vacation Homes, Ltd., I decided to keep it small and personal.

Bradley Alme

I began working with my mom at Vacation Homes Ltd. three years ago. I have a degree from the Plan II Honors Program at the University of Texas and a minor in Italian. For three years, I was an agent for photographers in New York City but decided to move to Santa Fe to join this family travel business. My own extensive travels in Europe and the Americas provided a perfect stepping off place for our more personal and in-depth search for VHL homes. I love visiting with our home owners year after year and being able to share the "insider" tips they give us with our rental clients.

I maintain our web site and am continually changing and upgrading the information on it. We share the job of previewing homes and selecting the right home for our client's needs.
